New Kangaroo Point Bridge: Your Guide to Brisbane’s Vibrant Kangaroo Point

Exploring the sights of Brisbane just got easier. The Kangaroo Point Green Bridge, officially opened in December 2024, is the newest addition to the city’s iconic river crossings. Connecting the City Botanic Gardens with Kangaroo Point, the bridge gives pedestrians and cyclists a new way to experience Brisbane’s stunning waterfront.

Whether a visitor or a local rediscovering ‘The River City’, the Kangaroo Point Bridge is the perfect excuse to hop across the river and uncover the best of Kangaroo Point.

Kangaroo Point Bridge

Kangaroo Point Green Bridge was built to create an eco-friendly link between the buzzing CBD and the laid-back riverside charm of Kangaroo Point. With dedicated lanes for walkers and cyclists, it’s the perfect way to swap gridlock for fresh air and river breezes. But the bridge is far from your average pedestrian crossing, with a stunning vantage point and panoramic views of the breathtaking Brisbane skyline, Story Bridge and Brisbane River. Whether commuting, sightseeing or just out for a sunset stroll, the Kangaroo Point Green Bridge offers a scenic and seamless way to experience the city.

But that’s not all. In early 2025, two new waterfront dining venues are set to make their mark, including an above-water restaurant and bar on the bridge and a relaxed riverside café at the city landing plaza.
